Continuing along with their overseas promotional tour, Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes took to the red carpet at the Berlin, Germany photocall of their new movie “The Spirit” earlier today.

The “In Good Company” actress and her “We Own The Night” co-star were spotted hamming it up at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, along with co-star Samuel L. Jackson.

As for the movie, “The Spirit” tells the story of “a rookie cop named Denny Colt, who returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces in Central City.”

Directed by Frank Miller, the film is scheduled to be released in theaters on Christmas Day (December 25).

As a follow-up to his run in the New York City Marathon on Sunday, Ryan Reynolds attended the “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson’s” 2008 Benefit For The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

And, of course, Ryan’s beautiful actress bride Scarlett Johansson accompanied her hubby to the charitable evening, which was held at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City.

Also in attendance for the good cause were famous faces including NY Yankee All-Star Derek Jeter, actresses Julianne Moore, Elizabeth Berkley and Katrina Bowden, as well as a few members of The Who.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Reynolds ran for Team Fox of the Michael J. Fox foundation, inspired by his father Jim Reynolds’ struggle with Parkinson’s disease, this past weekend - finishing the long-distance race at a respectable time of 3:50:22.

Scarlett Johansson (born November 22, 1984) is an actress and singer, of dual American and Danish citizenship. Johansson rose to fame with her role in 1998's The Horse Whisperer and subsequently gained critical acclaim for her roles in Ghost World, Lost in Translation (for which she won a BAFTA), and Girl with a Pearl Earring, the latter two earning her Golden Globe Award nominations in 2003.

On May 20, 2008, Johansson debuted as a vocalist on her first album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, with cover versions of Tom Waits songs.

Early Life
Johansson was born in New York City. Her father, Karsten Johansson, is a Danish-born architect, and her paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, was a screenwriter and director (Scarlett Johansson holds Danish citizenship). Scarlett Johansson's mother, Melanie Sloan, a producer, comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family from the Bronx. Johansson's parents met in Denmark, where her mother lived with Johansson's maternal grandmother, Dorothy, a former bookkeeper and schoolteacher. Johansson has an older sister, Vanessa, who is also an actress; an older brother, Adrian; a twin brother, Hunter, also an actor; and a half-brother, Christian, from her father's re-marriage.

Johansson grew up in a household with "little money" with a mother who was a "film buff". Johansson began her theater training by attending and graduating from Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 2002.
